TEENS FOR CHANGE COALITION (TCC)
We are a group of teens dedicated to making a positive change in Nassau County
Teens for Change is an organization for the students run by the students. We pride ourselves in providing a safe environment for teens to help reduce the activities of at-risk behaviors. As our mission statement declares, we are a group of teens dedicated to creating a positive change in Nassau County. Some of the ways we have provided this is through hosting a movie night. We were able to obtain a large blow up screen in which we allowed students to come and see a movie. Not only did we provide a safe environment, but a place where teens can come and socialize with others without taking part in illegal activities. Another aspect of Teens for Change is our community outreach. We have also served our community through the humane society, volunteered at the soup kitchen, and participated in a down-town clean up. Through the course of the school year, we strive to host events where our peers can come and enjoy a safe, drug-free environment as well as continue our volunteer efforts and commitment to our community. Through out this school year, we have been excited to continue our previous activities well as beginning a new project for the teens of Nassau County.
